Prayer of Jabez - Week 3 - Let your hand be with me

When you start seeking the blessings of God you have to remember that with them you must seek God in the blessing. The hand of God is the presence of God. The hand of God is the Holy Spirit working in us. God's hand is either against us or with us. To keep connected to God's will we must seek to be dependant, desiring and devoted.
  1. Keep your hand on me: To keep me Dependant
Living in an independent world makes it hard to live dependently.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6 says we are not sufficient by ourselves, our only sufficiency comes from God. So we need to pray for God to keep his hand on us.

  2. Keep your hand on me: To keep me Desiring
Jabez desired to be more and do more for God. Psalm 34:4 says: "Delight yourself also in the Lord, And he shall give you the desires of your heart." Oh God keep your hand on me-- that I might keep desiring Your good work in me and through me.

  3. Keep your hand on me: To keep me Devoted
We must learn to blossom where God has planted us. When we ask for God's Hand to be with us, we are asking for His presence, power and might to help us accomplish things we could never accomplish on our own. We have supernatural power at our disposal to become part of God's miracles.
