Prayer of Jabez - Week 4 - That you may keep me from evil

"That You would keep me from evil" viewed from three different perspectives:

1. That You would keep evil from me
   This is what Jesus taught: "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"
   
   
2. That You would keep me from evil
   Matthew 26:41 tells us "Watch and pray so you will not fall into temptation. The Spirit is willing but the body is weak."
   In Romans 7:15 Paul says: "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate to do."
   
   
3. That You would keep me from causing pain
   When we give into evil we bring pain to three different groups of people:
   - We cause pain for ourselves
   - We cause pain for those directly involved in our sin
   - We cause pain for those indirectly involved or not involved at all

Jabez prayed and God granted his request.
