Being Connected Is Like ...

Fellowship in its truest sense is soul to soul connection. In Dr. Edward Hallowell's book titled Connect he states: "What really sustains us emotionally, psychologically and physically is connectedness, the feeling we are part of something that matters, someting larger than ourselves that gives life meaning." Church is a group to be connected to.

What is it like to be spiritually connected?
  1. Its like being in a brick building. See Ephesians 2:20-23
  2. Its like being a part of a body. See Romans 12:4-5
    1. We are all different
    2. We have different roles to play
    3. We are all needed to make the body complete
    4. We all belong to each other
    5. We all need to be connected to each other. You cannot be all God wants you to be and you cannot grow to be what God wants you to be without being attached to a body, a church, and a church home.
  3. Its like being a sheep in a flock. See Psalm 100:3, Psalm 23, John 10 and 1 Peter 5:2
  4. Its like being a member of a family. See 1 Timothy 3:15 and Romans 12:10
Why should you choose to stay disconnected? 2 Corinthians 8:5 says "First they gave themselves to the Lord and then by God's will they gave themselves to us as well.
