Missions Month, Week #1 - Jerusalem

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Today for Missions, God is looking to churches for:

1. Those who will go
2. Those who will send
3. Those who will support

Four missions questions (see 1 Corinthians 5:11-21):

1. What - See vs. 18 and 19 above. In Matthew Jesus says GO!
   
2. When - See vs. 16, 14 and 20 above. Utmost speed and urgency required for the king's business.
   
3. Why - See vs. 14 above. This calls missions from within our own hearts.
   
4. Where - See vs. 20 above. The (fallen) world around us should also call us to missions.
   

Missions begins right here in the local church (our Jerusalem). In our own church. Helping those in need. Helping those in our community. Its not a question of if. Its a question of what and how. Missions starts right here!
